6-29-2025 @ Portage Festival

On Sunday June 29, 2025, the full club make the trip over to Kalamazoo for our second time at the Portage Vintage Base Ball Festival.  It was a hot day, hitting close to 90 degrees, but your union men stayed strong and put together three good games.  We saw clubs from Portland MI, Chicago, and Akron OH.  We had close matches, coming out on the winning and losing side throughout the day.  We thank and congratulate the kalamazoo club for putting on a great festival and inviting us back.  For more pictures of the day, check them out HERE

A New Face for 2025

We are happy to welcome a new face to the club for 2025.  Jerry 'skip' is officially joining the club after practicing and helping out the club during 2024.  You can find him roaming around in the outfield for the club.  To find out more about Skip, visit our members page HERE

6-1-2025 @ Chelsea

On Sunday June 1, 2025, the Union club made their way into Chelsea to see their friends the Monitors on a new field at Revel Run.  This was a Charity Match, something done yearly by the Monitors, this year benefitting St. Judes Hospital.  It was a beautiful day for base ball, with Dexter playing their first match of the season and the Monitors having started their season a couple weeks earlier.  If nothing else can be said, both clubs scored a bunch of runs, with a final score of 34-26, favoring the Monitors.  Check out a couple of our favorite photos of the day below, for the rest of the pictures, go HERE.

Schedule Update

(6-15-2025) We are pleased to announce that our two home games this year, will be played at Northside Park in Ann Arbor.  We have played games in Ann Arbor and at this park specifically in previous years.  We always get a great response from the neighborhood and look forward to hosting two games within the same month at this location.  We will be playing on the grass part of the field with home base positioned near the northwest corner.  Check out our schedule for those dates and our opponents.

Practice Has Begun

The Union Base Ball Club has begun practicing in preparation of our 2025 season.  As always, our practices are open to the public.  If you are interested in joining the club, the first step is always to come out to practice and get hands on and meet our members.  Even if you aren't interested in joining the club, but want to play some baseball and get some exercise, we absolutely welcome that.  If you send us an email (unionbbc@gmail.com) we will keep you updated on practice times and cancellations from weather.  We typically practice on either Tuesday or Thursday after 6pm.  You are welcome to wear whatever you are comfortable in, t-shirt and shorts are fine, cleats are allowed.  We will provide the bats and balls, so no need to worry about those.  Let us know if you have any questions!
